This Alfa Romeo 106-Series 2600 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1965 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint is one of approximately 7,000 examples produced and is said to have spent time in Italy and Germany before it was relocated to the Netherlands in 1989. The seller acquired the car in October 2022, and refurbishment work carried out under previous ownership between 2010 and 2016 included rebuilding the 2.6L twin-cam inline-six, servicing the five-speed manual transmission, refreshing the braking system, replacing the exhaust system, repairing body panels, and repainting the body in its factory shade of Bianco Antico. Equipment includes triple Solex PHH carburetors, polished bumpers, power windows, 400mm steel wheels, and leather interior upholstery. This 2600 Sprint is now offered in the Netherlands with a tool kit, photos from the refurbishment process, Dutch language service records, correspondence from Automobilismo Storico Centro Documentazione, and Dutch registration listing the car as a 1966 model.

The Bertone-designed 2600 Sprint debuted at the 1962 Geneva Motor Show. The body of this example is said to have been stripped to bare metal and repaired including the installation of replacement quarter panels prior to a repaint in its factory shade of Bianco Antico as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. The chrome trim was reportedly refurbished at that time, and additional exterior features include polished bumpers, a driver-side mirror, a hood scoop, and a locking fuel door. An anti-corrosive wax has been applied to portions of the car, close-up photos of which are provided in the gallery.

The 400mm steel wheels were powder-coated silver under prior ownership according to the seller, and they are mounted with 165-series Michelin X radial tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and the brake calipers were rebuilt during the refurbishment and the brake hoses were replaced.
