This Chevrolet Corvair (1965-1969) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa coupe is a turquoise-over-white coupe that was refurbished under previous ownership and is powered by a 164ci flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes wire-style wheel covers, a dual-exit exhaust system, a retro-style head unit, a heater, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2023 and subsequent servicing included replacing the brake shoes, brake hoses, rear brake hardware, the master cylinder, the starter, and a battery terminal. This Corvair Corsa coupe is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, removed parts, and a clean Arizona title.
The car left the factory in Tahitian Turquoise (L) and was refinished under previous ownership. The rear taillight panel is finished in silver and the exhaust outlets exit behind each rear wheel.
The 13″ wheels wear wire-style wheel covers with bowtie-logo simulated knockoffs and are mounted with 185/80 Maxxis MA-1 tires. A full-size spare is stored in the engine bay. Service in May 2023 involved replacing the drum brake shoes, brake hoses, rear brake hardware, and the master cylinder.
The front bucket seats, a rear bench, and door panels are trimmed in white vinyl upholstery, and the cabin is accented by a turquoise dashboard and carpets. Features include an aftermarket retro-style head unit, a heater, blue front lap belts, a white ball shifter, Fisher-branded door sill plates, a locking glove box, and carpeted floor mats.
The two-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and supplementary gauges for manifold pressure, cylinder head temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 164ci air-cooled flat-six is quad-carbureted and was factory rated at 140 horsepower. A finned aluminum oil pan is fitted. Service in May 2023 included installing an air duct and replacing the starter and a battery terminal.
A stamp on the engine indicates a 140 horsepower 164ci flat-six paired with a manual transaxle.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Corrosion is visible on the underside.
