This 1965 Daimler Majestic Major is a right-hand-drive saloon that is said to have spent time in Switzerland before being imported to the United States and acquired by the seller in mid-2022. Power is supplied by a 4,561cc V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in beige and black over red leather upholstery. Features include wood trim, Lucas front driving lamps, fender-mounted side mirrors, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, painted steel 16″ wheels, hubcaps, whitewall tires, and rear-seat tray tables. This Daimler DQ450 was previously listed on BaT in March 2023 and is now offered at no reserve with a clean Florida title that lists the model year as 1966.

The bodywork is believed to have been repainted its current shade of beige with a black upper section some time in the late 1990s. Exterior details include Lucas front driving lamps, fender-mounted side mirrors, and chrome bumpers and trim. The car was previously listed for sale having experienced flood damage. Various scratches and paint blemishes are noted by the seller along with cracked and aged weatherstripping.

Beige-painted steel 16″ wheels wear chrome trim rings and Daimler-branded hubcaps, and they are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering and four-wheel disc brakes, and the brake master cylinder is said to have been overhauled and the brake lines replaced in 2021.

The right-hand-drive cabin houses seats trimmed in red leather with color-coordinated door panels. Details include wood trim, a push-button radio, an analog clock, and fold-down tray tables for rear-seat passengers. The sun visors are missing, and other imperfections include cracked wood trim, worn carpeting and upholstery, and stains on the headliner. The seller states that the speed-hold function does not work, and the car comes with only one key.

A banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, auxiliary readouts, and a speedometer with a 240-km/h overlay. The odometer is inoperable and shows approximately 18k kilometers (~11k miles). Total mileage is unknown, and the fuel level and coolant temperature gauges are in need of calibration.

The Turner-designed 4,561cc V8 has hemispherical-cylinder-head combustion chambers and sends power to the rear wheels via a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission. The aforementioned prior auction noted that the engine was exposed to water and drained before it was run. The exhaust pipes were replaced and the SU carburetors refreshed under prior ownership around 2021.
