This Honda Motorcycles got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1965 Honda CB160 Sport was acquired by the seller as a non-running project out of Florida in March 2020 and subsequently underwent a refurbishment completed in August that included a repaint in blue and silver and a rebuild of the 161cc four-stroke parallel twin. Equipment includes a blue dual saddle, a four-speed manual transmission, an electric starter, dual chrome exhaust pipes, an adjustable steering damper, and a center stand. Service in preparation for the sale included a tune-up in October 2020. This “baby Super Hawk” is now offered at no reserve in Florida with a factory owner’s manual, a replica Honda tool kit, refurbishment photos, and a clean Florida title.

The bike was disassembled and stripped prior to being refinished in blue with Cloud Silver side covers and fenders. The fuel tank features chrome “toaster” trim with black rubber knee grips. The blue vinyl saddle accommodates two and is equipped with a grab strap, and a reproduction fender splash guard is fitted at the rear. The interior of the fuel tank was cleaned prior to being sealed with Caswell epoxy, and a close-up photo showing inside the tank is provided in the gallery below.

Chrome-finished 18″ replacement rims are laced with stainless-steel spokes and wear a ribbed Kenda tube tire up front and a block-tread Cheng Shin at the rear. Suspension is handled by a rebuilt telescopic fork and a swing arm with fully shrouded shocks that feature color-keyed uppers and chrome lowers. Braking is provided by cable-operated drums at both ends.

The headlight bucket is topped by an integrated 100-mph speedometer sitting ahead of chrome-tube handlebars equipped with replacement mirrors, grips, and levers, as well as the adjustment knob for a friction-plate damper built into the steering neck. The brake, clutch, and speedometer cables have also been replaced. The five-digit odometer indicates a little over 8k miles, less than 100 of which were added by the seller; true mileage is unknown.

The 161cc OHC parallel twin is a replacement engine that was rebuilt and installed by the seller during the refurbishment. Work has included honing the cylinders and installing original-size aftermarket pistons, along with cleaning the dual 20mm Keihin carburetors and centrifugal oil filter and replacing the spark plugs. The seller points out that the rear outside corner of one cooling fin on the left-side cylinder is broken off.

Spent gases exit through a pair of low-slung chrome mufflers, and power is transferred through a four-speed manual transmission with the chain final drive on the left. The bike is equipped with a center stand and folding passenger foot pegs. Chrome on the left-side muffler is noted to be dull.

Dents were smoothed and cracks were welded prior to refinishing. Aluminum parts including the upper triple tree, side-case covers, and hub covers have been polished. Additional in-process photos of the refurbishment are provided in the gallery.

A walk-around video with a cold start is presented above, and a demonstration of the electronics, including the lights and horn, is viewable below. A riding video is linked here.
