LS3-Powered 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Holiday Hardtop

This 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Holiday Hardtop was acquired by the seller in 2015 and subsequently fitted with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a 4L65-E four-speed automatic transmission by The Chevy Shop of Apopka, Florida. Further equipment includes a Griffin radiator, a Vintage Air climate control system, a retro-look digital stereo, and replacement front disc brakes along with 15″ Super Stock I-style wheels, BFGoodrich white-letter tires, a dual exhaust system, front bucket seats, and a center console. The car is finished in maroon with polished bodyside moldings, and the seats were re-trimmed in white and black vinyl upholstery under current ownership. This modified 442 is now offered with an owner’s manual and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in maroon and features 442 badging, a dual exhaust system, and polished wheel arch and bodyside moldings. The driver’s door check strap and hinges were replaced in 2021.

Super Stock I-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 235/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and components for the power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes are said to have been replaced under current ownership. The upper control arms and rear springs were replaced in 2021.

The seating surfaces were re-trimmed in black and white vinyl upholstery under current ownership, the carpets and door panels were replaced, and a center console with a floor-mounted shifter separates the front seats. A Vintage Air climate control system is fitted as well as a retro-style digital Bluetooth stereo.

The steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel gauge, while a tachometer is mounted on the center console. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 63k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was installed under current ownership, and it is equipped with a polished intake tube and a Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. An oil change was performed within the last six months, and the battery was replaced in 2023.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 4L65-E four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The dual exhaust system is fitted with Flowmaster-style mufflers.
