This Oldsmobile 442 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 convertible was reportedly placed into storage in 1983, where it remained until it was purchased by the current owner in 2021. Subsequent refurbishment work is said to have included a repaint in white as well as overhauls of the four-barrel carburetor and brakes, and installation of a replacement TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, radiator, shocks, springs, exhaust system, bumpers, blue vinyl upholstery, and dark blue soft top. Power comes from a 400ci V8, and additional equipment includes a dual-exit exhaust, front bucket seats, a push-button AM radio, and lap belts. This 442 convertible is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with factory literature and a clean Virginia title in the owner’s name.

Delivered from the factory in Provincial White (C), the car underwent a color change to blue before it was repainted in its factory color under current ownership. Replacement bumpers, door handles, 442 badges, and a driver door mirror were also fitted, and a dark blue soft top was installed along with replacement pads and seals. Imperfections in the finish can be seen in the gallery.

The 14″ steel wheels wear chrome wire covers with faux knock-off hubs, and they are mounted with 225/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown redline radial tires. A full-size spare wheel is stowed in the trunk. According to the seller, replacement shocks and springs were installed under current ownership, and the four-wheel drum brakes were also overhauled, while a replacement master cylinder and lines were added.

A crack on the dashboard was repaired in preparation for the sale.
