1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Convertible 4-Speed

This 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa convertible is finished in blue over blue vinyl upholstery and powered by an air-cooled 164ci flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a white soft top, a blue top boot, a sport steering wheel, a Delco radio, an Audiovox FM tuner, and 13″ steel wheels with wire-look covers. The car was refurbished under previous ownership and acquired by the selling dealer in March 2023. This Corvair is now offered by the selling dealer with manufacturer’s literature and a Virginia title.

The car left the factory finished in Marina Blue and was refinished under previous ownership. Exterior details include a replacement white soft top, a blue top boot, quarter vent windows, chrome-finished bumpers, and Corsa badging.

The 13″ steel wheels wear wire-look covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with 185/80 Maxxis MA-1 thin-whitewall tires, while a full-size spare with a Firestone bias-ply tire is stowed in the engine bay. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench reupholstered in blue vinyl while replacement blue carpets line the footwells. Appointments include a floor-mounted shifter, a day/night rearview mirror, lap belts, a lockable glove compartment, a Delco push-button AM radio, and an Audiovox FM tuner.

The two-spoke sport steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, manifold pressure, and cylinder head temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 28k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.

The rear-mounted 164ci air-cooled flat-six is equipped with quad Rochester carburetors and was factory rated at 140 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in March 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
