1966 Ford Fairlane GT Convertible 4-Speed

This 1966 Ford Fairlane GT Convertible is finished in Prairie Bronze and is equipped with a 390ci FE V8 mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Modifications added by a previous owner include a performance crank, Edelbrock manifold and carburetor, and an aftermarket exhaust. The current owner installed power brakes and redline tires after purchasing the vehicle from a dealer in Pennsylvania. It is now being offered in West Palm Beach on dealer consignment with a clean Florida title.

The body was repainted in its original shade of Prairie Bronze some time before the current ownership. Two chips are noted on the hood along with rust on the door sills as pictured in the gallery. The power soft top exhibits a clear rear window in photographs and is said to function properly.

Styled chrome and black wheels wear Fairlane caps and BF Goodrich Silvertown redline tires that were installed by the current owner. A brake booster has been added.

Inside, the cabin features black vinyl bucket seats and door panels with GT badging. The black carpeting shows some areas of discoloration and the center trim ring of the steering wheel is loose. The car retains its factory stereo, and a Sunpro three-gauge pod has been added below the dash. All gauges are reported to work properly, and 22,819 miles are shown on the odometer.

The 390ci V8 is equipped with a performance crank, aftermarket exhaust, and an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and manifold. It is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission and was rated at 275 horsepower when new. According to the seller, a new gas tank has been installed, but no service records are available.
