This Mercury Cougar got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 was sold new by Dick Niles, Inc. of Portland, Oregon in July 1967 and was purchased out of Arizona by the late husband of the current owner in 2004. Power comes from a 289ci V8 that is backed by a three-speed Select-Shift automatic transmission. Reportedly repainted in the factory-correct yellow in the early 2000s, the car features a black vinyl roof, front disc brakes, an electronic ignition, air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and retrimmed leather seat upholstery. Maintenance performed in mid-2020 consisted of rebuilding the carburetor, fitting a remanufactured starter, and replacing the tie rods. The seller is now offering this Cougar on the widow’s behalf with a factory owner’s warranty card, books and manuals, period registration cards, partial service records since 1974, and a clean Washington title.
