1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Cross-Ram 4-Speed

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is finished in Cordovan Maroon with white stripes over black vinyl upholstery and was initially delivered to Max Chevrolet of Clinton, New York. The car is powered by a 302ci V8 mated with a four-speed manual transmission and a 4.10:1 Positraction differential, and additional equipment includes a cross-ram intake manifold, dual Holley carburetors, factory tubular headers, 15″ Rally-style wheels, front disc brakes, a center console, door sill guards, and a Delco AM radio. The car is said to have been acquired by the seller in 1991, and underwent a body-off refurbishment completed in 1998. This Camaro is offered with a record of part stampings, an NCRS Shipping Data Report, a Protect-O-Plate, a Camaro Legends judging manual featuring the car, judging results, and transferable New York registration in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Cordovan Maroon with white stripes and is said to have been repainted during a body-off refurbishment completed under current ownership in 1998. Features include a driver-side mirror, Z/28 and Camaro badging, a dual exit exhaust, and chrome trim on the bumpers, rocker panels, light surrounds, and grille.

The 15″ Rally-style wheels wear polished trim rings and hub caps along with Goodyear Wide Tread GT white-letter tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The seller states the brake master cylinder and calipers were rebuilt as part of the 1998 refurbishment.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Woodgrain trim lines the center console and dashboard, while additional features include lap belts for all occupants, manually-operated windows, tinted windows, and a Delco AM radio. The seller notes there is a tire pressure decal inside the glovebox.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, approximately 50 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 302ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt as part of the refurbishment and is equipped with a Cross-Ram intake manifold along with a pair of Holley 4210 four-barrel carburetors. Additional features include factory tubular headers, a chrome air cleaner cover, and chrome valve covers. The engine runs on a mix of 100 and 110-octane fuel, according to the seller. The oil was changed in May 2022.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and a 4.10:1 Positraction differential. The transmission and differential were rebuilt as part of the refurbishment, according to the seller.
