This Plymouth Satellite got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1968 Plymouth Satellite hardtop coupe is a non-running project car that was acquired by the selling dealer in February 2024 after reportedly having been parked for approximately 40 years. The car has been modified with a 440ci V8, which does not run and is paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. This Satellite project is now offered at no reserve in Texas with removed parts and a clean Tennessee title.
The car was finished from the factory in Surf Turquoise Metallic (LL1). Missing paint, corroded metal, and rust in the passenger-side lower quarter panel are pictured in the gallery below, and some trim pieces and the taillights are missing.
Steel 14″ wheels wear Plymouth Division covers and are mounted with 215/70 Milestar Touring SLE whitewall tires that are said to have been fitted in April 2024.
The driver seat and the rear bench are upholstered in worn black vinyl, and the passenger seat is missing. Rust holes are evident in the floor pans.
The instrumentation has been removed from the dashboard, and true chassis mileage is unknown.
A 440ci V8 with a manufacture date from 1976 was installed under prior ownership. The seller states that the car was licensed for road use most recently in the early 1980s. The car’s chassis number indicates that it was originally powered by a 273ci V8.
The car is equipped with a three-speed manual transmission that is disconnected from the engine. Rust is noted on underbody components.
