1969 Cadillac DeVille Convertible

This 1969 Cadillac DeVille convertible has been refinished in white over beige upholstery and is powered by a 472ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a beige convertible top, 15″ wheels with faux-wire covers, a power-adjustable front bench seat, an AM radio, and power windows. The current owner acquired the car in 2017, and service in August 2021 is said to have included cleaning the carburetor, adjusting the brakes, and replacing the spark plugs and the alternator. This DeVille convertible is now offered in Canada by the seller on behalf of the owner with free shipping and importation to Plattsburgh, New York as well as a matching boot cover and transferable Quebec registration.

The car was delivered from the factory in Cameo Beige (42), and the body is said to have been refinished in its current shade of white in 2006. The car features a beige convertible top with a matching boot, rear fender skirts, and gold-painted side moldings. Brightwork includes rocker-panel and wheel-arch trim, mirror housings, and front and rear bumpers. The seller notes a chip on the corner of the hood, paint bubbling in the center of the hood, and cracked front indicator lenses.

15″ steel wheels wear wire-style covers and are mounted with 235/70 Dunlop Touring Elite whitewall tires. Service in August 2021 is said to have included an alignment, a brake cleaning and adjustment, as well as replacement of the inner and outer tie rods and the front suspension bushings.

Bench seats trimmed in beige upholstery are complemented by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include woodgrain trim, a power-adjustable front seat, front and rear lap belts, a clock, power windows, and an AM radio.

Instrumentation consists of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 85k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.

The 472ci V8 features blue-finished valve covers and produced a factory-rated 375 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque when new. The car was stored for the three years preceding August 2021, at which time service reportedly included an oil and filter change, a carburetor cleaning and adjustment, and replacement of the air filter, spark plugs, alternator, and transmission seal.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.

The seller is unable to locate the chassis number on the vehicle itself. The car is registered under number 68367F9146394, whereas Cadillac’s numbering convention for 1969 would not contain the 68637 prefix.
