1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe L78 4-Speed

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS coupe was first sold by Bob Coyle Chevrolet in San Jose, California, in January 1969 and received a body-off refurbishment during prior ownership before its acquisition by the seller in 2013. The car is finished in LeMans Blue over an ivory vinyl interior and is powered by a 396ci L78 V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a Posi-traction rear end. Equipment includes an AM radio, a Hurst shifter, power steering, a dual exhaust system, front and rear spoilers, power-assisted front disc brakes, and 14″ Rally wheels. Recent maintenance included an oil change and a coolant flush. This Camaro is now offered with a Protect-O-Plate, manufacturer’s literature, model literature, a car cover, spare parts, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.

The 1969 Camaro featured wider bodywork and a tapered front grille when compared to earlier models, and this example underwent a body-off refurbishment during prior ownership including a repaint in its factory LeMans Blue (71). The body features white hockey stick stripes along with SS and 396 badging, and equipment includes SS hood trim, a driver-side mirror, a dual exhaust system, rear quarter vent moldings, front and rear spoilers, and chrome bumpers with front and rear bumper guards.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, engine temperature, amperage, and fuel level are mounted on the center console. The five-digit odometer shows just over 500 miles, which is said to represent the distance covered since the refurbishment. True mileage is unknown.
