This 1970 Plymouth Barracuda convertible is powered by a replacement 440ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in red over black. Features include a black convertible top, Wilwood front brakes, 440 “hockey stick” graphics, air conditioning, a pistol-grip shifter, a Kenwood cassette player, an MSD ignition system, and an aluminum radiator. This Barracuda was purchased by the seller in 2015 and is now offered with a spare intake manifold, a spare set of carburetors, service records, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

Originally finished in Sandpebble Beige with a white convertible top, the exterior was repainted in red during previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers and black 440 “hockey stick” graphics. Ventilated steel wheels are finished in silver with polished trim rings and wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Wilwood disc brakes are fitted in front, and the seller states that the rear drums have been refurbished.

The interior is upholstered in black with vinyl-trimmed bucket seats and a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Additional equipment includes a polished tilt steering column, a woodgrain center console and pistol-grip shifter, power windows, red rubber floor mats, and a Kenwood cassette player. The factory air conditioning has been replaced with a modern aftermarket system.

Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, temperature, and alternator output. An aftermarket coolant temperature gauge is installed in a dash-mounted bezel. The five-digit odometer was reportedly reset during previous ownership and now shows 16k miles, 2k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

This Barracuda left the factory with a 318ci V8, and the seller states that the current 440ci V8 was installed in 2019. Additional equipment includes a four-barrel carburetor, an MSD ignition system, and an aluminum radiator. The upgraded air conditioning compressor is depicted above, and an oil change was reportedly performed within the last 200 miles. Dyno readings from the engine break-in can be viewed in the gallery, and a spare intake manifold, as well as a pair of carburetors, are included in the sale.

Ceramic-coated TTi Performance exhaust headers were installed in 2017, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
