This Plymouth Road Runner got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1970 Plymouth Road Runner is a factory Hemi-powered car that was built on November 7, 1969, and reportedly remained with its original owner until 2012. The car was a world record holder in the AHRA C/SA class from 1973 to 1975 and also won the AHRA U.S. Nationals in the A/SA class in 1973 before it underwent a refurbishment in the early 2010s. It then spent time in an Ohio collection before it was acquired by the seller in 2018. Power comes from a replacement 426ci Hemi V8 paired with a three-speed 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission, and the car is finished in blue over black vinyl upholstery. Features include chrome bumpers, a black vinyl roof, a center console, and an AM radio. This Road Runner is now offered with a set of steel wheels and hubcaps, an AHRA C/SA plaque, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Delivered from the factory in Bright Blue Metallic (EB5), the car was repainted in its current blue, reportedly during original ownership approximately 10 years ago. Features include a black vinyl roof, yellow “Road Runner” side stripes, a fresh air hood, quarter panel vents, chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets. The reproduction period decals are reusable and can be removed without damaging the paint according to the seller.

Body-color 15″ steel front wheels wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, while the chrome rear units wear Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires. A full-size spare wheel with older rubber is mounted in the trunk, and a set of factory-style steel wheels and hubcaps are included in the sale. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with a matching rear bench, door panels, headliner, and carpets. Gold accents were reportedly added to the dash and door caps by the original owner, and features include an AM radio, Road Runner floormats, and a locking center console with woodgrain trim.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline and an inset clock, a 150-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. Just under 30k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, a handful of which were added by the seller.
