This Pontiac GTO got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1970 Pontiac GTO was sold new in Oshawa, Ontario and is now located outside of Toronto with the seller, who has owned it since May 2018. A rebuilt 400ci V8 was sourced from a 1969 GTO under prior ownership and rebuilt with a .030″ overbore and upgraded pistons, rings, pushrods, camshaft, double-roller timing set, stainless exhaust, and more. The engine is paired with an overhauled 3-speed TH400 automatic transmission. Additional modifications include a repaint from Palomino Copper to silver as well as an interior color change. This GTO is offered with rebuild invoices and clean Ontario registration in the seller’s name.

A color change from Palomino Copper to silver with a black striping kit was completed under previous ownership, though the seller says overall finish quality could be improved upon. A new hood and inner/outer front fenders were installed prior to the paintwork. Factory Rallye II wheels are mounted with a set of BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

A walk-around video with the engine at idle is shown above, and an additional video can be viewed here.

Originally Saddle, the interior was reupholstered with black vinyl with textured inserts. The passenger window operation is is said to be quite slow, the driver’s A-pillar is missing some trim, and the forward top pads are in need of adjustment. A storage cover is provided for the fabric top, and their condition is detailed in the gallery along with that of additional interior trim. Just under 138k miles are shown on the odometer.
