This Porsche 914/6 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1970 Porsche 914-6 is finished in green over black vinyl and is powered by a flat-six that was rebuilt to 2.2 liters in 1989. Additional equipment includes a five-speed manual transaxle, 14″ Fuchs-style wheels, a removable Targa roof panel, a heater, and a push-button AM/FM stereo. The car spent time in Washington and Alabama before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2018, and subsequent work reportedly included rebuilding the carburetors and performing a valve adjustment as well as an exterior repaint. This 914-6 is now offered with an owner’s manual, a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, partial service records, and a clean California title.

The car was finished in Irish Green from the factory and is said to the been repainted under current ownership. Equipment includes a removable black Targa top, pop-up headlights, black sail panels, and dual side mirrors. Dents in the front bumper chrome are shown in the image gallery below.

The 14″ Fuchs-style alloy wheels are mounted with 195/70 Cooper Evolution Tour tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs.

The cabin features fixed-back bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Appointments include a center console, a heater, three-point seat belts, wind-up windows, and a push-button AM/FM stereo.

The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a center tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and gauges for engine temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 29k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the selling dealer. The speedometer was replaced in 1991 and total mileage is unknown.

The air-cooled flat-six was rebuilt to displace 2.2 liters in 1989. The selling dealer has reportedly rebuilt the dual Weber carburetors and performed a valve adjustment and an oil change.

The engine is stamped *6404430* which matches the engine number shown on the Porsche Production Specifications certificate.
