440-Powered 1971 Dodge Challenger

This 1971 Dodge Challenger was refurbished approximately five years ago under current ownership and was refinished as an R/T-style hardtop powered by a 440ci V8 paired with a three-speed 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The car is finished in Sassy Grass Green with black R/T stripes, and features include a black vinyl top, a Go Wing, and a Shaker hood and intake. This Challenger is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Washington title in the current owner’s name.

The car was finished in Dark Green Metallic with a green vinyl top from the factory and was repainted Sassy Grass Green during the refurbishment that completed approximately five years ago. Exterior features include black R/T stripes, a black vinyl roof, and a Go Wing. A chip is noted on the driver’s door glass.

Rallye-style 15” wheels wear trim rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering and power-assisted brakes.

The interior was refreshed in black and features high-back vinyl bucket seats as well as wood-look trim on the center console, doors, and dashboard. A Kenwood CD player with satellite radio capability and USB input is installed. The parking brake release handle is broken.

The instrumentation set behind the wood steering wheel includes a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, temperature, and alternator charge. The five-digit odometer registers just over 2k miles, which is said to represent the distance covered since completion of the refurbishment. True mileage is unknown.

The factory 318ci has been replaced with a 440ci V8, and a three-speed 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission is also installed. A shaker hood and exhaust intake were added.
