This Fiat Nuova 500 (1957-1975) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1971 Fiat 500L was refurbished around 2018, and it was acquired by its current owner in 2021. Finished in white over black vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 499cc inline-twin paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes chrome bumpers with nudge bars as well as 12″ steel wheels, drum brakes, a folding soft sunroof, and a rear luggage rack. This 500L is now offered on dealer consignment in Piacenza, Italy, with an Italian registration document.
The car was repainted in its current shade of white during a 2018 refurbishment in Italy according to the selling dealer. Features include chrome bumpers with nudge bars as well as a half-length folding black sunroof, dual mirrors, quarter vent windows, a louvered engine cover, and a woven picnic basket affixed to the rear luggage rack.
Silver-painted 12″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and Radar Dimax Classic whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl that extends to the door panels. White and black rubber floor mats line the front footwells. A center storage tray, a floor-mounted shifter, and manual-crank windows are additional elements.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a Veglia Borletti 130-km/h speedometer with an inset fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 81k kilometers (~50k miles).
The rear-mounted 499cc inline-twin is fed by a single carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
