This 1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spider is finished in lime green over brown upholstery and powered by a rear-mounted 903cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes a tan soft top, 13″ steel wheels, bright hubcaps, split chrome bumpers, and an aftermarket CD stereo. The car reportedly spent time in Texas and Florida prior to its recent acquisition by the selling dealer. This 850 Sport Spider is now offered at no reserve with a clean Florida title.
The Bertone-desined body is said to have been refinished in lime green under previous ownership. Exterior details include a tan soft top, split chrome bumpers, and dual side mirrors. Areas of rust are noted under the driver-side door and on both rocker panels. Corrosion is present on the chrome bumpers and fuel filler cap, and other blemishes are pictured close-up in the gallery.
Steel 13” wheels wear bright trim rings and hubcaps and are are mounted with 175/70 Waterfall Eco Dynamic tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
The cabin features seats upholstered in brown joined by matching door panels and a woodgrain-trimmed dash. A heater is fitted along with an aftermarket JVC CD stereo mounted on the face of the locking glove compartment. The black dash pad is cracked.
A Grant GT three-spoke steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 8k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The rear-mounted 903cc inline-four was factory rated at 48 horsepower. The car is difficult to start if it has been sitting for extended periods, and the choke must remain on to keep the engine running.
