This 1971 International Harvester Scout 800B was acquired by the seller in 2022 and subsequently refurbished and modified. Work is noted to have involved removing the body from the frame, carrying out metal repairs, repainting the truck in metallic blue, and re-trimming the interior in brown marine-grade upholstery as well as rebuilding the replacement 345ci V8, 727 three-speed automatic transmission, and Dana 20 dual-range transfer case. A Rough Country 2.5″ lift kit with Bilstein shocks was also added along with Mickey Thompson 15″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a Scout II-sourced steering box, Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. Further equipment includes a four-point roll bar, heated front bucket seats, an Ididit tilt steering column, Omega Kustom Instrument Company instrumentation, and a Kenwood touchscreen head unit connected to JBL speakers. This Scout 800B is offered with a removable Softopper soft top, refurbishment photos, build records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The body was removed from the frame, media-blasted, and affixed to a rotisserie before being fitted with replacement sheetmetal from IH Parts America. It was subsequently repainted in Ford Brittany Blue, according to the seller. The front grille, headlight rings, and window frames have been chrome-plated, and exterior hardware and weatherstripping replaced at the time of the paintwork. Further details include custom black-finished bumpers and black tailgate lettering as well as LED headlights, an electric windshield wiper mechanism, vent windows, and chrome dual exhaust outlets. A black Softopper removable soft top will accompany the truck.

Polished 15″ Mickey-Thompson wheels are mounted with 31×10.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. The truck is equipped with power steering and features a Scout II-sourced steering box as well as manually-locking front hubs. The suspension has been modified with a Rough Country 2.5″ lift kit, Bilstein shocks, and a D&C Extreme Industries reverse shackle system. The brakes have been upgraded to four-wheel discs, and a D&C Extreme Industries brake booster, an E-Stopp electronic parking brake system, and replacement master cylinder and brakes lines have been added.

The floors are said to have been have been finished in a LizardSkin two-stage insulation coating and painted with a black Herculiner textured finish.

A Grant wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit tilt column and fronts instrumentation from Omega Kustom Instrument Company that includes a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. The digital odometer shows 355 miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 345ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt prior to installation as part of the build. A Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system has been installed, and additional modifications include a Holley high-pressure in-tank fuel pump, a four-core aluminum radiator, and an American Autowire wiring harness.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 727 three-speed automatic transmission and a Dana 20 dual-range transfer case, both of which are said to have been overhauled as a part of the refurbishment. A heavy-duty clutch assembly and resized driveshafts have also been added, according to the seller. The frame was powder coated in a gloss black finish, and the underside refinished using a gloss black Raptor textured coating. The dual exhaust system features a crossover pipe as well as Flowmaster mufflers.
