This 1971 Porsche 911E coupe is finished in Signal Orange over black leather and power comes from a replacement 2.2-liter flat-six is paired with a dogleg five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 14″ Fuchs wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a sunroof, chrome trim, a Carrera-style rear diffuser, a Dansk muffler, a heater, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo. The car was first registered in California and reportedly moved to Missouri in 1994, where it underwent a refurbishment that was completed in 2020. Work consisted of repainting the body, reupholstering the interior, rebuilding the engine with LN Engineering Nickies cylinders and JE pistons, and refreshing the braking and suspension. The alternator was replaced in anticipation of the sale. This 911E was recently acquired by the selling dealer and is now offered with service records, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, owner’s manuals, and a clean Missouri title.

The selling dealer states that the body was stripped to bare metal in 2020 before repainted in the factory Signal Orange along, refinishing the brightwork, and installing seals. Equipment includes a sunroof, a single side-view mirror, a fender-mounded antenna, a Carrera-style rear diffuser, and gold-finished script on the engine lid.

Refinished Fuchs 14″ alloy wheels feature polished spokes and are mounted with Yokohama AV1-60i tires. A matching spare is found in the front storage area. The suspension was also said to be overhauled, and braking is through four-wheel discs.

The seats have been reupholstered in black leather by Autobahn Interiors and the dashboard, headliner, carpets, and door pockets, have been replaced. Features include textured trim, a heater, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.

A four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation including an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges overhauled by Palo Alto Speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 63k miles, around 250 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 2.2-liter 911/01 flat-six from a 1971 is equipped with mechanical fuel injection and was factory rated at 155 horsepower and 141 lb-ft of torque. The engine was reportedly rebuilt in 2020 with LN Engineering Nickies cylinders and JE pistons. The alternator was replaced in July 2022.
