383-Powered 1972 Chevrolet C10 Custom Pickup Stepside

This 1972 Chevrolet C10 Custom Stepside pickup was acquired by the seller in 2009 and was fitted with a BluePrint 383ci stroker V8 equipped with Holley Terminator X fuel injection in 2022. QA1 control arms and adjustable shocks were also installed at that time, and the truck is additionally equipped with a three-speed Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission, a B&M shifter, Hedman headers, front disc brakes, 18″ Vision wheels, a lowered suspension, a wood-slat bed, a receiver hitch, two-tone black and red upholstery, and an aftermarket stereo. Repainted red in 2010, this C10 is now offered with a Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in red and was repainted in 2010, reportedly following rust repairs on the doors. The wood bed floor was also refinished at that time, while the rocker panels and cab corners were replaced in 2017 and touchup paint was applied to the lower doors and rear of the cab. An aftermarket grille, LED headlights and taillights, a Curt receiver hitch, and black door handles, badging, and trim have been installed. A custom wood box houses a fuel cell located in the bed. Rust and bubbling is present in the lower doors and aft of the rocker panels as shown in the gallery.

The 18″ Vision 142 Legend 5 wheels are mounted with 245/60 Goodyear Assurance tires. The truck is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. QA1 adjustable shocks and upper and lower control arms were installed in 2022, and the suspension bushings and rear trailing arms were replaced at that time. The seller states that 2.5″ front drop spindles and 4″ rear lowering springs have also been added.

The cabin features a bench seat that has been reupholstered in black and red vinyl. Sound deadening has been installed below the black carpets and a center console with cupholders has been added. Additional appointments include a B&M shifter, an aftermarket digital stereo with Bluetooth wired to speakers in the kick panels and a powered subwoofer mounted under the seat, a sliding rear window, and a wood-rimmed NRG steering wheel. The heater core has been disconnected, and a replacement unit is reportedly included in the sale.

Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. A digital display for the Holley fuel injection system is mounted on the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 383 stroker V8 BluePrint crate engine was installed in 2022 and features high-flow Summit Racing cylinder heads, a Holley Terminator X Max fuel injection system, an MSD digital 6AL ignition box, ceramic-coated Hedman headers, a dual exhaust system, an aluminum radiator, an IMI Hi Torque starter, and an AEM fuel pressure regulator. The seller states the engine has been dyno tuned.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission, which was reportedly overhauled and fitted with a shift kit approximately five years ago. A replacement driveshaft was installed in 2018 per the seller, and a B&M differential cover and an aluminum high-capacity finned transmission pan have been added.

The Pennsylvania title carries “Mileage Exceeds the Mechanical Limits” and “Antique Vehicle” brands.
