This 1972 Toyota Corona Mark II L Coupe is a Japanese-market right-hand-drive example imported to Hawaii four months ago by the seller. Power comes from a 1,988cc M-series inline-six mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. 58k kilometers (~36k miles) are shown on the odometer. No prior service history is known, but the seller states that the car runs and drives well but is missing the rear seat. This Toyota Corona Mark II L is sold with no reserve and includes import documentation and a clear Hawaiian title.
The Corona Mark II was based on the Toyota X platform, and marketed in coupe, sedan, and wagon body styles. Exterior trim is intact apart from two chrome pieces of the grille surround, and missing rocker panel strips.
Factory wheels have been replaced by turbine-style alloys wearing Zeetex radial tires.
This example features interior appointments such as wood accents, air conditioning, and both 8-track and cassette players. The dash pad has cracked through, and plastic and carpeted surfaces show some wear and deterioration. The odometer shows 58k kilometers.
The tan seat upholstery is hidden beneath black aftermarket covers. The rear bench seat is missing.
The 1,988cc M-series SOHC six-cylinder engine is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. M-series motors were rated around 110hp, and power steering, A/C, and assisted braking are equipped here. Details of prior service are unavailable. The seller has not performed any service, but states that the motor starts easily and runs quietly.
The seller has provided underside shots here and in the gallery below. The rear suspension utilizes a coil-sprung live rear axle and Panhard rod.
