1973 Chevrolet Suburban C10 Cheyenne Super 454

This 1973 Chevrolet Suburban C10 Cheyenne Super was sold new by Weiler Chevrolet of Oregon City, Oregon, in February 1974, and it was acquired by the current owner in September 2020. Power is supplied by a 454ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The truck is finished in red with woodgrain exterior trim and was reupholstered in white vinyl with orange and black houndstooth inserts under prior ownership. Factory equipment includes air conditioning, chrome bumpers, and a 30-gallon fuel tank. This Suburban is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with manufacturer’s literature, 1974 sales documentation, service records, and a clean Oregon title.

This first-year Chevrolet square-body truck was finished from the factory in Crimson Red (1514) with optional woodgrain exterior trim. Exterior features include a chrome front grille and bumpers, driver- and passenger-side mirrors, side-exit dual exhaust, and Cheyenne Super and Estate badging. There are dents and scratches on the lower right quarter panel near the bumper, worn areas on the woodgrain, and faded sections of paint on the doors, hood, and roof.

White-finished 15″ steel wheels wear bright covers and are mounted with Suretrac whitewall tires. Braking is from power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The refurbished cabin features bench seating trimmed in white vinyl with orange and black houndstooth cloth inserts along with body-color metal surfaces and black carpeting. Amenities include woodgrain trim on the steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels as well as front and rear air conditioning, power steering, third-row seating, and a push-button AM radio. There are cracks on the top of the dashboard, and the aftermarket leather cover on the steering wheel shows separation below the spokes.
