This Citroen DS got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1973 Citroen DS is said to have been sold new in Sweden and was acquired by the seller out of Denmark before being imported to the US in 2017. The car is finished in black over a black leather interior, and power comes from a 1.9-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes hydropneumatic suspension, steering, and brakes as well as European-market headlamps, a sliding cloth roof, and more. The wiring harness, front seats, rear lights, shift linkage bushings, and front ball joint rubber were replaced under the seller’s ownership, and the fuel tank and carburetor were cleaned. This DS is offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in black and features European-market tracking headlamps that articulate with the steering direction and are mounted behind Marchal lenses. New rear light assemblies were installed during the seller’s ownership. Bubbles are noted around the right front turn signal.

Steel wheels wear polished covers and are mounted with 15″  Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The hydropneumatic suspension can be seen both raised and lowered in the gallery below, which also contains photos showing the rear fenders removed. New rubber was installed for the front ball joints under the seller’s ownership.

The cabin is trimmed in black leather with matching carpets and gray door panels. The sliding sunroof was reportedly installed under previous ownership, while front seats were sourced from a 1972 DS Pallas by the seller. The seats show cracking throughout, the carpets need replacement, and the headliner is missing.

A single-spoke steering wheel frames Jaeger gauges including a five-digit odometer showing just over 91k kilometers (~57k miles). Additional features include a steering column-mounted shifter and a clock. A new wiring kit from Painless Wiring was installed and the shifter linkage bushings were partially replaced under the seller’s ownership. The country horn and rear window heater are inoperable.

The 1,985cc inline-four features a five-bearing crankshaft and a single carburetor that was cleaned under current ownership along with the fuel tank. New ignition points were also installed.

No Reserve: 1973 Citroen DS

Power is sent to the front wheels through a column-shifted four-speed manual transaxle. The car is sold with a factory owner’s manual.
