5.9L Cummins-Powered 1973 Dodge D200 Adventurer Pickup

This 1973 Dodge D200 Adventurer Club Cab pickup is finished in light blue and white over black and powered by a replacement 5.9L inline-six 12v Cummins turbodiesel paired with a four-speed 46RH automatic transmission. Features include an upgraded variable geometry turbocharger, 90-gallon fuel tank, an Alpine Bluetooth stereo with voice control, 16.5″ steel wheels, bed-side camper mounts, LED headlamps and taillamps, and a chrome front bumper. The turbodiesel engine and upgraded front suspension were installed during previous ownership, and the seller acquired the truck in 2018. This D200 is offered with owner’s literature, a spare radio, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in light blue and white and features bed-side camper mounts, Western-style mirrors, LED headlamps and taillamps, a trailer hitch receiver, a chrome front bumper, and a bright metal grille and trim. The seller notes that the trailer brake wiring is untested, the right side mirror is missing a bolt, a dent is visible in the front bumper, and the cab corners, roofline, and rear bumpers have corrosion.

The 16.5″ steel wheels wear Fratzog hubcaps and are mounted with 9.50 R16.5 LT Firestone Transforce HT tires. The truck is equipped with a quick ratio power steering box and upgraded front suspension. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. A full-size spare is mounted under the bed. The seller notes that the brake master cylinder was replaced in 2019.

The cabin features a bucket seat upholstered in black vinyl joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes an Alpine Bluetooth stereo with voice control, rear storage area, locking glovebox, and a sliding rear window. The seller notes air conditioning components installed except for the condenser, and the rear sliding glass and front door glass do not seal. The removed AM radio is included in the sale.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. An additional pyrometer gauge has been fitted in the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 10k miles, 4k of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The seller notes that oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temp gauges do not work.

The replacement 5.9L inline-six Cummins turbodiesel features 12 valves and is said to have been sourced from a 1993 Dodge Ram. A variable geometry turbocharger, 90-gallon fuel tank, and custom exhaust system have been installed. The seller notes an oil leak from the passenger side of the engine, and the fuel cap is troublesome to close. The fuel water separator was replaced, and an oil change was performed in preparation for sale. The engine is not equipped with an engine block heater.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed 46RH automatic transmission. Corrosion is visible on underbody surfaces.
