1973 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT 4×4 4-Speed

This 1973 Ford F-100 is a standard-cab pickup that was delivered new to Marv Tonkin Ford of Portland, Oregon, and acquired in 2021 by the selling dealer, who reports that subsequent work included a repaint, refreshing the interior, servicing the cylinder heads, replacing the carburetor, and installing a Steerman Cycle electric power steering kit. The truck is powered by a 360ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission, a single-range transfer case, and a limited-slip rear differential. Additional equipment includes a sliding rear window, 16″ steel wheels, manually locking front hubs, air conditioning, woodgrain interior trim, and a retro-look stereo. This F-100 is now offered in New York with a Deluxe Marti Report and a clean Oregon title.

The truck was factory finished in Limestone Green Metallic (5021-HS) and was refinished under current ownership. Exterior details include a sliding rear window, dual mirrors, bodyside moldings, lower body cladding, and chrome bumpers. Dents are noted in the bed, and paint blemishes are pictured in the gallery.

White-painted 16″ steel wheels are mounted with 245/75 Kenda Klever A/T tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, and braking is handled by four-wheel drums. A Steerman Cycle electric power steering kit was installed in preparation for the sale.

The cab features a bench seat that was reupholstered during current ownership with green cloth and vinyl from SMS Auto Fabrics of Canby, Oregon, according to the selling dealer. Woodgrain trim accents the steering wheel and dashboard, and additional appointments include green carpets, air conditioning, a push-button retro-look stereo, a locking glove compartment, and manual crank windows.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer flanked by supplementary gauges for oil pressure, alternator charge, and coolant temperature. The selling dealer notes the fuel level gauge does not work. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 360ci V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor and air cleaner, and the selling dealer states that a valve job was performed after they acquired the truck.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, a single-range transfer case, and a 3.50:1 limited-slip rear differential. Corrosion is present on underside components, and additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery below.

The Deluxe Marti Report lists initial delivery to Marv Tonkin Ford of Portland, Oregon, along with factory colors, equipment, and production statistics.
