This 1973 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT 4×4 pickup is powered by an overbored 428ci Cobra Jet V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is finished in Red over red vinyl and cloth upholstery and features a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, an MSD ignition, Dana axles, running boards, a winch, KC driving lights, a textured bed liner, a receiver hitch, manually locking front hubs, an Alpine head unit, and air conditioning. The current owner purchased the truck in 2011 in November 2022 the rear main seal and oil pan gasket were replaced and an oil change was carried out. This F-250 Ranger XLT is now offered at no reserve with the manufacturer’s invoice, a Deluxe Marti Report, the owner’s manual, service records, and a British Columbia registration in the seller’s name.
The truck is finished in Candy Apple Red and features a Styleside bed, dual towing mirrors, running boards, a receiver hitch, a sliding rear window, chrome bumpers, black wheel arch flares, a front-mounted winch, KC driving lights, a brush guard, tinted windows, a textured bed liner, and bright bodyside moldings with vinyl inserts. The left bedside was refinished in 2019, the rear step bumper was re-chromed in 2020, and the hood was repainted in 2023. The seller notes scratches in the paint, pitting in the tailgate chrome trim, dimples on the left rear fender well, and areas of thin paint where paint primer is visible.
The 16.5″ polished aluminum wheels are mounted with 35×12.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs and power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front and rear drums.
The single cab cabin houses a bench seat trimmed in red vinyl and cloth upholstery along with color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Amenities include an Alpine head unit, crank windows, and air conditioning. A hole in the bench seat was repaired and the headliner shows sagging.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a column-mounted tachometer as well as a Holley Sniper EFI control panel, a 100-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and an ammeter. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 11k of which were added under current ownership.
The 428ci Cobra Jet V8 was overbored 0.060″ before being installed in 1980 and features a Holley Sniper fuel injection system and an MSD ignition. Service in November 2022 included replacing the rear main seal and oil pan gasket in addition to an oil change.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels via a four-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a Dana 60 rear axle with 4.10:1 gearing. A Dana 6CF front axle and dual 21-gallon fuel tanks are also installed.
