This GMC Jimmy (1973-1991) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1973 GMC Jimmy Sierra is finished in Burnt Orange over Saddle vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a fiberglass hardtop, a Hurst transfer-case shifter, Soft Ray glass, power steering, air conditioning, towing mirrors, and a push-button AM radio. The truck is said to have been delivered new to Schaefer GMC of Butler, Pennsylvania, and reportedly remained in storage from 1986 to 2019 before being acquired by the seller. This Jimmy Sierra shows 24k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a hand-written mileage log, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.
The truck is finished in Burnt Orange and features a white fiberglass hardtop, brushed tailgate trim, a rear wind deflector, Soft Ray glass, Sierra badging, dual exhaust outlets, towing mirrors, and a chrome grille, bumpers, and trim. Paint condition can be viewed up close in the gallery below.
White-painted 15″ wheels are wrapped in 33×10.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires that are said to have been mounted in December 2021. The truck is equipped with power steering and heavy-duty shock absorbers, and a 15″ spare wheel wearing a Firestone Deluxe Champion tire is located in the rear cargo area. The brake booster and front brake pads were replaced in August 2021, according to the seller. Bright wheel covers are included in the sale and can be viewed in the gallery below.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in Saddle vinyl along with a matching dash pad, center console, and carpets, the latter of which are protected with tan GM-branded rubber mats. Woodgrain veneers accent the dashboard and door panels, and equipment includes a push-button AM radio, a Hurst shifter, air conditioning, lap belts, and vent windows.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the seller.
The 350ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and sends power to all four wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Multiple belts, gaskets, and fluids were serviced in August 2021, and the cylinder heads were rebuilt with hardened valve seals according to the seller. The fuel system has reportedly been overhauled, which included replacing the fuel tank under current ownership.
