This 1973 Volkswagen Thing is finished in orange over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 1,600cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes white 14″ steel wheels with hubcaps, a black soft top, removable doors and side curtains, and a folding windshield. The vehicle is said to have been initially registered in Illinois and was acquired in Missouri by the current owner in 2016. This Type 181 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean Missouri title in the name of the seller’s spouse.

Equipment includes a black soft top, a folding windshield, amber fender-mounted marker lights, mismatched side mirrors, and removable doors and side curtains. The car is not equipped with an antenna, the side curtains are cloudy, a crack is present in the plastic rear window, and holes and wear are present on the soft top.

White 14″ steel wheels wear VW-logo hubcaps and are mounted with 195/75 Delta Majestic A/S tires, and a spare wheel and tire are stored in the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes. The brake lines were reportedly replaced under current ownership. The parking brake is inoperative and corrosion is visible on the wheels.
