This BMW 2002 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1974 BMW 2002 is believed to have been sold new in Venice, California and was previously purchased by a dealership out of long term outdoor storage with the intent to recondition it. The car was repainted its original Chamonix white in August 2017 and had its automatic transmission rebuilt by the dealer before being acquired by the seller approximately one month ago. Additional updates were made to the 2.0L inline-four, brakes, interior, and suspension, while keyless entry, a new radio, and speakers were added during the seller’s ownership. Complete service records from the previous reconditioning and more recent work are included in the sale, and the car is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.

A new Chamonix white repaint was conducted in August 2017, and the seller notes a fracture in the paint on the front left of the vehicle. The sunroof is functional but has a slight misalignment as seen in photos.

The front left bumper has a crack in the black plastic and is held together with a zip tie. During the reconditioning of the exterior, new wiper blades, BMW emblems, front and rear window moldings, and headlight/taillight bulbs were added. The steel wheels are mounted with a set of Thunderer Mach 1 tires.

Power comes from a 2.0L inline-four that received new engine mounts, a new alternator, a new drive belt, new spark plugs, a distributor rotor, and an oil change while with the previous dealer. The engine is backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt in October 2017, and complete service records for the work performed by the previous dealer and the seller are included in the sale.
