This Ferrari 308 GT4 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1975 Ferrari 308 GT4 was purchased by the seller in May 2017 after the car had been in storage for approximately 15 years. It is finished in Rosso Rubino over a black leather interior, and equipment includes air conditioning, a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo, and a gated dogleg shifter. Power is from a 3.0-liter DOHC V8 paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and maintenance in 2017 included new belts, tensioner bearings, gaskets and seals, spark plugs, and thermostat, as well as water pump and carburetor rebuilds. This 308 GT4 is now offered with service records covering the seller’s ownership, factory literature, a tool kit, jack, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car was repainted in Rosso Rubino during previous ownership, and the seller notes some overspray beneath the chrome window trim. Paint bubbling around the rear wheel wells is shown in the photo gallery below.

Replacement 16″ wheels are staggered in width and were mounted with new Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires last year, measuring 205/55 up front and 225/50 out back. New brake fluid was added in May 2017.

The 4-place cabin is trimmed in black leather, with matching door panels, carpets, and dashboard. Damage to the right door panel speaker perforation is visible in the gallery. Equipment includes a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio and a gated shifter for the dogleg 5-speed. The car is also equipped with air conditioning, though the seller notes that the system has not been serviced.

Veglia instrumentation includes a 180-mph speedometer, 10k-rpm tachometer, a quartz clock, and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, and oil and water temperature. The speedometer was replaced when the odometer showed 41k miles, and the replacement 5-digit odometer currently shows approximately 10k miles, 1,500 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown, though the seller believes that the combined mileage between the replacement and included original speedometer is accurate.

The transverse 3.0-liter quad-cam V8 was rated at 240 horsepower by the factory and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. An $11k service in May 2017 by Patrick Ottis of Berkeley, California included new belts, tensioner bearings, gaskets and seals, spark plugs, distributor caps, a coolant expansion tank, and battery, as well as rebuilds of the water pump and carburetors. Service in July 2017 included a new thermostat and a re-cored radiator. The trunk located behind the engine compartment is said to be lined with replacement carpet.
