454-Powered 1975 GMC K1500 Sierra Grande 4×4

This 1975 GMC K1500 Sierra Grande is a standard cab fleetside pickup powered by a replacement 454ci V8 paired with three-speed automatic transmission and dual-range transfer case, and it is finished in blue over blue vinyl upholstery. The truck was acquired by the owner in 2018, and a refurbishment completed in 2020 included repairing and repainting the body, installing the engine, and refreshing the suspension, brakes, and driveline components. Equipment includes 15″ powder coated alloy wheels, power steering, power brakes, Warn manually-locking front hubs, a bed-lined cargo area, a rear hitch receiver, Vintage Air air condoning, and a Retro Sound stereo system. This Sierra Grande is offered on dealership consignment with images and records from the refurbishment along with a clean California title.

The hood, left door, fender, and tailgate were replaced and rocker corrosion was repaired before the truck was repainted in blue as part of the 2020 refurbishment. Exterior features include a fleetside short bed with a Line-X bed liner, a rear hitch receiver, and chrome bumpers as well as brightwork on the grille, light surrounds, and door hardware. The windows and rubber weather seals have been replaced.

The 15″ multi-spoke alloy wheels have been powder coated gold and wear 32×11.5″ BFGoodrich K02 All-Terrain T/A tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted discs up front with rear drums, and the truck is equipped with Warn manually-locking front hubs. Work completed in 2020 includes reinforcing the frame near the steering box, rebuilding the power steering pump, and replacing the suspension bushings, wheel bearings, brake booster, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake lines, calipers, rotors, drums, pads, and shoes.

The standard cab features bench seating upholstered in blue vinyl joined by a black dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Additional equipment includes a Vintage Air air conditioning system, a glovebox, manually-operated windows, vent windows, dash-mounted cupholders, lap belts, and a Retro Sound stereo wired to Alpine speakers.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges monitoring battery charge, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 92k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 454ci V8 reportedly features a lower compression ratio and an aftermarket camshaft specified for increased torque. Work completed under current ownership included cleaning the fuel tank, rebuilding the radiator, and replacing the radiator fan shroud, spark plug wires, distributor, and exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The transmission, transfer case, and axles were rebuilt in 2020.
