No Reserve: 1976 Cadillac Coupe DeVille d’Elegance

This 1976 Cadillac Coupe DeVille is said to have remained with the family of the first owner in California until the seller’s acquisition in May 2022. The car is finished in amber over beige cloth upholstery and is powered by a 500ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes the d’Elegance package, a partial padded vinyl roof, 15″ wheels, chrome bumpers and trim, cruise control, a power-adjustable front seat, woodgrain interior trim, and power windows and door locks. This DeVille is now offered at no reserve with a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Amberlite Firemist (91) and features a brown padded landau roof with opera lamps. Additional details include a hood ornament, rear wheel skirts, chrome bumpers and trim, and a left side mirror with an integrated temperature gauge. The seller notes areas of touch-up paint, and cracked paint is present near the rear window.

Steel 15″ wheels wear bright Cadillac-branded covers and Hankook whitewall tires that are said to have been mounted during current ownership. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums. The seller notes the presence of a brake fluid leak and a corresponding fluid flush should be performed.

The cabin features two rows of pillow-style bench seating upholstered in Light Buckskin Magnan cloth along with a color-coordinated dashboard and woodgrain trim. Amenities include cruise control, a power-adjustable front seat, and power windows and door locks. The seller notes the radio and power antenna are nonfunctional, and the rear passenger-side ashtray lid is missing.

A three-spoke steering wheel with woodgrain accents frames a 100-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles, of which approximately 1k were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 500ci V8 was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor was installed, and an oil change was performed in May 2022. The car last passed a California emissions test in February 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
