This 1977 Datsun 280Z is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in silver over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes air conditioning, 14″ aluminum wheels, a Hitachi AM/FM stereo, and a Magnaflow exhaust system. Initially delivered to Woodbridge Datsun of Avenel, New Jersey, the car is said to have been registered in that state and California prior to being purchased by its current owner on BaT in June 2021. Under current ownership, the shocks, shifter bushings, pedal covers, and driver’s door interior trim and handle have been replaced. This 280Z is now offered in Kansas by the seller on behalf of its owner with a window sticker, an owner’s manual, service records, a set of removed steel wheels and mounted tires, and a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC.

The car was finished from the factory in Sterling Silver (306) and is said to have been repainted circa 2013. Black pinstripes have been added, and additional exterior details include a replacement hood emblem along with hood vents, a retractable antenna, and chrome impact bumpers with rubber end caps. Four-spoke 14″ aluminum 260Z wheels are wrapped in 195/70 Cooper Evolution Tour tires that have 2020 production codes. The shocks were replaced in July 2021.

The high-back bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl, accompanied by a matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Additional appointments include air conditioning, a Hitachi AM/FM stereo, a rear defroster, and a center armrest. The left door handle and trim were replaced in August 2021 along with the pedal covers. The seller states that the clock does not work and the air-conditioning system does not always blow very cold, and faded carpeting and tears in the driver-seat upholstery are depicted in the gallery.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are housed in the center of the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer indicates 66k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.8-liter L28E inline-six is equipped with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 170 horsepower. The oil was most recently changed in summer 2022.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission, and the shift bushings were replaced in August 2021. A Magnaflow exhaust system and a catalytic converter have been installed.

A set of removed 14″ steel wheels with mounted tires is included in the sale.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Woodbridge Datsun of Avenel, New Jersey, factory colors and equipment, and a total price of $7,609.
