This 1977 Mercury Cougar XR-7 is finished in Cinnamon Gold with a vinyl landau top over brown vinyl upholstery, and it is powered by a 302ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes the Decor Group, louvered opera windows, 15″ wheels, a power-operated driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, and an AM/FM/eight-track stereo. The car was delivered new to Colville Ford in Washington State and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2014. This Cougar XR-7 is offered at no reserve with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Idaho title.

The car is finished in Cinnamon Gold with black pinstriping and features a chamois vinyl landau top with louvered opera windows, body-color side mirrors, cornering lamps, a hood ornament, and chrome bumpers. Paint blemishes are visible on the front-left fender and left door.

Factory 15″ wheels are mounted with Hankook Optimo H724 thin whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering and the XR-7 Handling Package. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features a split front bench seat with a fold-down armrest upholstered in brown vinyl along with matching door panel inserts and woodgrain trim. Brown carpets line the floors and are covered by rubber floor mats. Additional appointments include a power-operated driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, an electric rear window defroster, and an AM/FM/eight-track stereo.

The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and fronts an 85-mph speedometer, an analog clock, auxiliary warning lights, and readouts for fuel level and engine temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 10k miles, approximately 400 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 302ci V8 is topped with a two-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The seller states the fuel sending unit was replaced in July 2022.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Colville Ford in Washington State along with equipped options and a total price of $7,736. Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale.
