This Plymouth Fury got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1977 Plymouth Gran Fury Brougham four-door sedan is said to have remained with the same family from new through the acquisition by the seller’s cousin’s out of an estate in Pennsylvania in late 2023, and the car now shows 10k miles. The body is finished in metallic blue with a blue vinyl-covered roof, and power is supplied by a 360ci V8 paired with a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes wheel covers, power-assisted front disc brakes, a hood ornament, white pinstripes, blue vinyl upholstery, woodgrain interior trim, and a push-button AM/FM stereo. This Gran Fury is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of their cousin with a Pennsylvania title in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in metallic blue and is accented by a lighter blue vinyl-trimmed roof and white vinyl pinstriping. The Brougham trim level features an exclusive hood ornament and badging, and additional equipment includes chrome bumpers and trim, mud flaps, vent windows, and dual side mirrors.
Black-painted 15″ steel wheels wear polished turbine-style covers and are mounted with 275 Firestone whitewall radial tires; the seller notes that the rear tires have been replaced. The car was fitted with a Torsion Quiet-Ride suspension as standard, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in blue vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, carpeting, and seatbelts. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and the door panels, the front seat offers a fold-down center armrest, and a push-button AM/FM stereo is located in the dashboard. Corrosion is visible in the left-front door jamb.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a rectangular 100-mph speedometer with an inset alternator-status gauge and an inoperative fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, approximately 5 of which have been added under current ownership.
The 360ci V8 is fitted with a two-barrel carburetor, and factory output was rated at 155 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The blue finish on the valve covers and the engine block is peeling, and corrosion is visible on various engine-bay components.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
