This 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is finished in Medium Blue Firemist over light blue leather and powered by a 425ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was delivered new to Thomas Olds-Cadillac-GMC of Rapid City, South Dakota, and purchased by the seller in 2019 reportedly from the estate of the second owner. Equipment includes a blue vinyl half-roof, a Delco cassette stereo with a CB, a power-adjustable split front bench seat, an Astroroof sunroof, and power windows and locks. This Eldorado is now offered with service records, factory literature, a 1978 dealer invoice, and a clean South Dakota title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Medium Blue Firemist (90) and features a 126″ wheelbase along with a vinyl half-roof, chrome bumpers and mirrors, an Astroroof glass sunroof, and dark blue pinstriping. Finish flaws include bubbling at the bottom of the rear window on the driver’s side, rust in the front fenders behind the wheel wells, and other imperfections captured in the gallery photos below. Steel 15″ wheels are fitted with body-color factory covers and older Goodyear Arriva whitewall tires. Recent brake work reportedly included replacement of the front calipers and pads along with the master cylinder. Replacement rear air shocks were also installed according to the seller.

The interior features Antique Light Blue Sierra Grain Leather (244) upholstery on the seats, which is complemented by a matching dash, door panels, and carpets as well as simulated wood trim. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, a factory Delco cassette stereo with a CB, front and rear floor mats, and power windows and locks. The air conditioning does not blow cold.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a horizontal 85-mph speedometer and gear-selection window. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The 425ci V8 was factory-rated at 180 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Work completed since 2019 is said to have included replacement of the thermostat and housing, radiator and hoses, fuel pump, and battery. A start-up video can be found here.

Power is sent to the front wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission that recently received a replacement lower gasket and vacuum modulator. There is a leak from the rear transmission pan gasket according to the seller. Corrosion is noted on the underbody and additional underside photos can be seen in the gallery.
