This 1978 Dodge Aspen was sold new by Courtesy Dodge of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is said to be one of 145 examples produced with the A43 Street Kit Car Package commemorating NASCAR driver Richard Petty. The car is finished in in two-tone Crimson Red Sunfire and Tapestry Red Sunfire over red vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 360ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, power-assisted steering and brakes, a rear spoiler, quarter window louvers, fender flares, a heater, and an AM/FM push-button stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in April 2022, and subsequent service has included an oil change. This A43 Aspen is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.

All Aspens optioned with the Street Kit Car Package were finished in two-tone Crimson Red Sunfire (RR9) and Tapestry Red Gunfire (RR7) with white hood, door, and roof graphics. Additional exterior details include bolt-on fender flares, an adjustable rear spoiler, quarter window louvers, a front air dam, windshield retention clips, rear window retention straps, and faux hood pins. The seller states that the driver-side rear quarter panel was refinished during previous ownership.

Gray 15″ steel wheels are mounted with Goodyear GT Radial white-letter tires that exhibit cracking. The car is equipped with a rear sway bar and power steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in red vinyl with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include a center console, a heater, and an AM/FM push-button stereo. The seller notes that the center console lid hinge is broken.

The three-spoke Mopar Tuff steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles.

The 360ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 175 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. An oil change is said to have been carried out in preparation for the sale.
