1978 Ford F-150 Ranger Lariat 4×4

This 1978 Ford F-150 Ranger Lariat 4×4 is a regular-cab Styleside pickup that is said to have been refurbished during previous ownership and was acquired by the seller in 2021. The truck is finished in yellow over brown vinyl upholstery and powered by a 400ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes aftermarket 15″ alloy wheels, 33″ tires, power-assisted steering and brakes, air conditioning, chrome bumpers and body trim, side steps, a receiver hitch, and an AM radio. Service performed during current ownership included fluid flushes, installing a 2.5″ lift kit, and replacing exhaust components, the fuel tank, weatherstripping, and various steering and braking components. This F-150 is now offered with recent service records, a Marti report, and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.

The truck was repainted in yellow with white and black body stripes during previous ownership. Exterior features include side steps, a receiver hitch, dual exhaust outlets, chrome bumpers, and bright trim.

Aftermarket polished 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 33×10.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The truck is equipped with a 2.5″ Rough Country lift kit that was installed during current ownership, along with power-assisted steering and front disc brakes. Service performed in 2021 included flushing the brake and power steering fluids, and replacing the master cylinder, front brake pads and rotors, steering gearbox, upper and lower ball joints, and various bushings.

The cabin features a bench seat trimmed in brown vinyl with cloth inserts and white accents. Amenities include woodgrain trim on the dashboard, air conditioning, vent windows, and an AM stereo. The door seals and window gaskets were replaced during current ownership.

The two-spoke steering wheel is accented with woodgrain and frames an 85-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, amperage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates over 92k miles, approximately 2,500 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 400ci V8 is said to have been overhauled during previous ownership and is equipped with a two-barrel carburetor. The seller states the idle was adjusted in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller states the transmission was overhauled during previous ownership, and service performed in 2021 included flushing the transmission and differential fluid, installation of a TrueTrack limited-slip differential unit, and replacing exhaust components, the fuel tank, transmission pan gasket, driveshaft, ring and pinion gear set, output shaft seal, and U-joints.
