This 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V Emilio Pucci Edition is a Designer Series example that was reportedly purchased new by the seller’s mother from Summit Lincoln-Mercury of Boulder, Colorado. The car is finished in Light Silver Metallic over gray leather upholstery and is powered by a 460ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a landau vinyl roof, 15″ turbine-style wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, an AM/FM/eight-track cassette stereo, and power windows and locks. This Mark V shows 40k miles and is now offered with a window sticker, recent service records, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Light Silver Metallic and features a black vinyl landau roof, red accents, and opera windows with the signature of Emilio Pucci. Chrome-finished bumpers are fitted along with hideaway headlamps, cornering lights, fender vents, dual side mirrors, and a heated rear window. Dings are noted in the trim, and the front exhibits rock chips. The condition of the paint and bodywork can be viewed close-up in the gallery below.

Turbine-style 15″ alloy wheels wear Michelin narrow-whitewall tires that require replacement due to age. Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes are fitted, and the shocks were replaced in July 2020.

The seats are upholstered in a mix of gray leather and vinyl with red accents and are accompanied by color-coordinated door panels as well as red carpets and seatbelts. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, an AM/FM/eight-track cassette stereo, woodgrain trim, and power windows and locks. The air conditioning was serviced in September 2020 at which time the driver-side door striker and lock actuator were replaced.

The two-spoke steering wheel is tilt-adjustable and frames an 85-mph speedometer and a five-digit odometer that shows 40k miles. An optional “Miles to Empty” indicator is fitted and the Cartier-branded clock does not work.

The 460ci V8 produced 210 horsepower and 357 lb-ft of torque when new. An oil change was most recently performed in September 2020, and service notes at that time indicated the radiator was beginning to seep.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Summit Lincoln-Mercury, factory options and colors, and a total price of $16,326.
