This Jeep SJ Cherokee got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1979 Jeep Cherokee 4×4 is finished in two-tone blue with a light blue interior and powered by a 258ci inline-six paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. The truck was acquired approximately a year ago from a Northern California ranch by the selling dealer, and subsequent service included a new battery, tires, and fuel pump as well as paint correction. This FSJ is offered with factory literature and a clean California title.
The body is finished in Ensign Blue up top over Wedgewood Blue lower panels, with the condition of the paintwork shown up close in several gallery photos below. A professional paint correction was recently commissioned according to the selling dealer. A dent in the tailgate and other wear are noted along with cracking of the finish beneath the windows.
Factory 15″ wheels wear full polished covers and were recently mounted with new tires to replace the pictured BFGoodrich radials. Manually-locking Warn hubs are fitted up front.
The interior is trimmed in light blue vinyl. The factory radio is shown to be functional in a video from the selling dealer and is paired with a period Pioneer cassette player mounted under the dash. The 5-digit odometer shows 65k miles.
The 258ci inline-six was recently serviced with a tune-up, fluid flush, and carburetor rebuild. A new fuel pump, lines, filters, and sender have been fitted, and the battery and windshield washer pump have been replaced. A start-up and idling video is provided by the seller.
