This Lincoln Continental Mark V (1977-1979) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Givenchy Edition is finished in Crystal Blue over blue leather and is powered by a 400ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was initially delivered new to Sauter Lincoln-Mercury of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and was acquired by the seller in 2021. Equipment includes hideaway headlights, a blue half-vinyl roof, 15″ turbine-style wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, a Cartier clock, power windows and door locks, and an AM/FM/8-track stereo. This Mark V Continental is now offered with a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Crystal Blue (2D) and features a blue half-vinyl roof, bodyside molding, and pinstriping. Additional exterior details include hideaway headlights, chrome bumpers, front fender louvers, and opera windows with Givenchy-branded etching.
Turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with thin-whitewall tires, and a full-size spare is stored in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features seats trimmed in blue leather with Givenchy-pattern inserts as well as a color-matching headliner, dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include a tilting steering column, air conditioning, power windows and locks, cruise control, and an AM/FM/8-track stereo.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a woodgrain inlay and frames instrumentation consisting of a Cartier-branded clock and an 80-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, approximately 100 of which were added during current ownership.
The 400ci V8 was factory rated at 159 horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
