This Hurst/Olds is one of 2,499 examples produced for the 1979 model year and was sold new at Miller Buick-Oldsmobile in Chico, California. Power is from a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in black and gold over a tan interior. Equipment includes gold 14″ wheels, a Hurst dual-gate shifter, and a later Alpine stereo as well as air conditioning and power-assisted front disc brakes. The battery, alternator, belts, smog pump, and tires are said to have been replaced since 2019. This Hurst/Olds was acquired by the selling dealer in May 2020 and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, historical registration cards, recent service records, and a clean California title.

The car is finished in black and gold and features Hurst/Olds badging, gold pinstripes, and exhaust outlets exiting behind each rear wheel. The selling dealer notes a chip in the windshield, a missing passenger-side wiper arm, and an inoperable power antenna as well as paint failure on the roof and several other body panels. A replacement pinstripe kit and wiper arm are included in the sale.

Gold-painted 14″ cast aluminum wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires showing 2019 date codes. The car is equipped with power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.

The interior is trimmed in Camel Tan Lochland Velour with matching carpets, door panels, and plastics. Amenities include crank windows, air conditioning, a later Alpine cassette stereo, and a Hurst dual-gate console shifter. Cracks are noted in the dash top, horn button, and driver’s seatbelt latch trim along with a loose shifter surround and other wear.

Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, an inoperable tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The five-digit odometer indicates approximately 73k miles. The air conditioning system has been converted to R134a refrigerant according to the selling dealer.

The 350ci L34 V8 featured a blue block, matching metric-bolt cylinder heads, and a plain black air cleaner from the factory for 1979. The alternator, battery, and belts on this example have been changed since 2019. A new smog pump is said to have been installed shortly before a California emissions test was passed in May 2020, though the replacement unit is described as noisy.
