This 1979 Plymouth Volare Road Runner was purchased by the seller from a long-term previous owner in 2012, sold to a friend in 2013, and reacquired in 2016. Service during the period between is said to have included installation of a replacement 318ci V8 as well as rebuilds of its three-speed automatic transmission and front suspension. Modifications consist of a mild cam, an Edelbrock carburetor on an aluminum intake, and an electronic ignition system. This Volare is offered with an owner’s manual, service records for recent work, a spare air cleaner, and a clean Montana title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in Spitfire Orange and features chrome bumpers, silver stripes, a ducktail rear spoiler, and rear window louvers. The hood was replaced and paintwork was carried out in 1982 owing to damage from a hail storm according to the seller. Blemishes include paint chips with rust in them on the cowl, fading of the stripes and trim, and a dent on the passenger-side side rocker panel.

A new old-stock front grille was reportedly installed in 2019. Stock 14″ alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The front suspension is said to have been overhauled in 2016.

The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and rubber floor mats. Appointments include a Tuff-style steering wheel, bucket seats, hand-crank windows, and an eight-track player.
