This Volkswagen Super Beetle got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1979 Volkswagen Beetle convertible was reportedly purchased new in Lampoc, California and remained with the same family in California, Pennsylvania, and Florida until being acquired by the selling dealer in late 2019. An air-cooled 1.6-liter flat-four powers the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in red over a black vinyl interior and features a white convertible top with a matching boot cover, 15″ Lemerz sport wheels, a wood appliqué dash, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. This Beetle is now offered with a Haynes repair manual, partial service records since the 1980s, and a clean Florida title.

The body is finished in Mars Red (Marsrot, LA3A) and features a white convertible top with a white boot cover. The windshield reportedly was replaced around 2006, and the windshield surround and lower cowl were repainted at that time to repair damage sustained in the windshield installation. Several stone chips are noted, and blemishes on the hood and on the passenger-side rear fender and quarter panel have been touched up.

Factory 15″ Lemerz sport steel wheels are equipped with black Volkswagen center caps and show scratches in their silver paint. Nankang CX-668 tires were reportedly fitted in 2008. The white convertible top is believed to be original, and the panel seams have come apart due to deterioration. The gravel guards for the rear fenders were removed by the original owner but will be included in the sale.
