This 1980 Mazda RX-7 GS was purchased new at Coggin Pontiac in Durham, North Carolina, and is said to have remained with the first owner until being acquired by the selling dealer in 2022. The car is finished in Sunrise Red over black and gray upholstery and is powered by a 1.1-liter 12A Wankel rotary paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a Clarion AM/FM radio, a retractable antenna, pop-up headlamps, a front spoiler, and factory 13″ aluminum “waffle” wheels. This SA22C shows 9k miles and is offered by the selling dealer with original purchase documentation, factory literature, a first aid kit, receipts, and a clean North Carolina title.

This non-sunroof example is finished in Sunrise Red (RH) with black side trim and features pop-up headlights, fog lights, a front spoiler, black impact bumpers, a retractable antenna, and dual side mirrors. Photos of paint meter readings can be seen in the gallery below.

Factory 13″ aluminum “waffle” wheels are wrapped in 185/70 Solus KR21 tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The interior features black vinyl seats with grey cloth center sections joined by a black dashboard, carpeting, and door panels. Equipment includes a Clarion AM/FM radio, a rear-window defroster, a leather-wrapped shift knob and boot, and manual crank windows.

A four-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer with an inset voltmeter, an 85-mph speedometer, an analog quartz clock, and auxiliary gauges monitoring engine temperature and fuel level. The five digit odometer shows 9k miles.

The carbureted 1.1-liter 12A twin-rotor Wankel engine was factory rated at 100 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque.

The initial purchase documentation presents Coggins Pontiac in Durham, North Carolina as the selling dealer, and lists a purchase price of $8,764.50.
