This Mercedes-Benz R107 SL got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL was purchased in 1990 by the seller’s parents in Colorado and remained in their possession until being acquired by the seller in February 2023 showing 51k miles. It is finished in Inca Red Metallic over beige leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a beige soft top, a removable hardtop, 14″ Bundt alloy wheels, fog lights, a Becker AM/FM/cassette stereo, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This R107 is now offered at no reserve with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, hardtop tools, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Inca Red Metallic and features a color-matched removable hardtop and a replacement beige convertible soft top. Additional exterior equipment includes quad headlights, fog lights, a power antenna, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim. The seller notes the left side of the car was damaged after being backed into in a parking lot, and repairs and paintwork were performed in 2003 as a result. Blemishes, dings, and windshield chips are shown in the gallery below. A pre-purchase inspection notes the subframe mounts and engine mounts are collapsed and should be replaced.
Bright-finished 14″ Bundt alloy wheels are mounted with older 205/70 Performance Radial G/T tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The two bucket seats are upholstered in beige leather, and interior amenities include wood trim, a Becker Mexico AM/FM/cassette stereo, electric windows, central locking, a heated rear hardtop window, cruise control, and automatic climate control.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including an 85-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 51k miles.
The 4.5-liter V8 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.

A copy of the window sticker shows initial delivery to Murray Motor Imports of Denver, Colorado along with standard and optional equipment. Factory literature, service records, a pre-purchase inspection, hardtop tools, and multiple keys are included in the sale.
The VIN WDB10704412063678 is shown on the data tag above, and the Colorado title omits the leading “WDB” characters.
