This Porsche 924 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1980 Porsche 924 Turbo is a US-spec example that was purchased new in Venice, Italy by the seller’s father and is finished in two-tone Diamond Silver and Dolomite Grey over a black interior. Powered by a turbocharged 2.0L inline-four mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle, the car has reportedly been in storage and has not been driven since 2006. The car is optioned with a leather sport steering wheel, power mirrors, air conditioning, and the the M471 package that includes upgrades to the suspension, wheels, and brakes. This 924 Turbo is now offered at no reserve with the tourist delivery order form, factory books and manuals, literature, spare parts, tool kit, service records, and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in two-tone Diamond Silver and Dolomite Grey (Z4Z9), and the seller states it was in an accident approximately 30 years ago and the front driver’s side fender was replaced. The car was repainted in its factory colors in preparation for a cosmetic refresh, and a 944 spoiler and tinted reflectors have been added. The rear hatch struts are noted as in need of replacement.

The car is optioned with the M471 package that included stiffer springs, Koni shocks with adjustable rears, 23mm front and 14mm rear sway bars, a 22.4:1 steering ratio, 911SC ventilated front brake discs with 928 calipers, and 16″ slotted wheels. The seller notes the struts are leaking and the tires are in need of replacement due to age.

The cabin is trimmed in black leather with black cloth seat inserts. The driver’s seat shows wear in several places and the dashboard is cracked in numerous places as highlighted in the gallery below. An aftermarket JVC head unit replaces the factory Blaupunkt cassette radio. The seller notes the air conditioner, radio antenna extender, and rear defroster all are inoperable.

The optional 4-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in an aftermarket cover and fronts an instrument cluster with a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline, and a 5-digit odometer that shows just over 40k miles and is believed to have rolled once.

The Audi-sourced EA831 2.0L inline-four features a K26 turbocharger and produced 143 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 147 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm when new. Power is transferred through a rear-mounted 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller notes the car has an oil leak, the clutch and brake pedals do not have full pressure, and the parking brake light stays illuminated after the brake has been released. The fluids, belts, and timing belt are all in need of replacement as stated by the seller, and rust is present in the battery tray area.
